Manufacturing is supposed to be one of the oldest industries with regards to the technological world. Due to the competition in the market, even this industry though considered to be raw in nature; had to move on. S. manufacturers spent $7.8 billion on Outsourcing; IDC sources had predicted that this shall increase to $12 billion a year by the end of 2006. David Tapper, senior analyst at IDC says, "Improved quality of service can be even more important than money". He adds "Everyone's looking for someone to do something as well or better, looking for alternate ways of having someone else run a system for them." Manufacture Outsource has its roots in the fact that the act of Outsourcing increases the convenience by all means. With the technology moving on at an unbelievable pace, new technologies and their adoption have become a necessity. Online presence for nearly all kinds of articles and every item has forced this sector to make their presence felt online. Owning a web site, explaining the work done and the services is a priority now. This would certainly require updating and upgrading of software, hardware, the tech part and thus the whole industry; which in turn lends Manufacturing Outsourcing perfect sense. The rocket high escalation of the Japanese Yen forced many Japanese companies to Outsource their Manufacturing plants to the South Eastern Asia. Though this transformation: considered harmful and painful took place despite the much less flexible labor law and lesser performance oriented corporate culture and sluggish economic growth as compared with the United States. On this day, the German and Japanese companies are able to remain very competitive without any significant loss in market share as compared to their United States counterpart. A report indicated that the lower costs from using offshore resources keeps inflation in check, increasing productivity and thus keeps interest rates low. In addition, the benefits of Global Outsourcing added US$ 33.6 billion in 2003 to the real gross domestic product in the United States. The report had added that overall GDP was supposed to be US $124.2 billion higher than without Manufacturing Outsourcing. In the manufacturing sector, components, textiles etc are Outsourced to countries where the labor costs are very low. Most of the companies Outsource around 50% of the work. The developing nations with their growing economies have posed to be much cheaper in labor as well as equipment costing.
